Honesty is a virtue that not everyone possesses but it takes another level of maturity and empathy to be transparent.

Transparency is a vital part of a relationship, it is a necessary ingredient of Love. You cannot claim to love someone and then struggle to be transparent with them.
Being transparent comes from a place of respect and deep admiration. Transparency revolves around open and honest communication and this is what I want to talk about today.

How often do you have an open and heart to heart conversation with your spouse? You don’t know the damage you’re creating in your marriage/relationship when you do not sit to talk, unburden your heart and level up with your partner.

Open communication and transparent talks help you see things from a different perspective, from the eyes of your partner.
Mosttimes we have things bottled up in our hearts thinking it doesn’t hurt anymore but once you remember it you feel somewhat sad and a feeling of uncertainty overwhelms you, that’s an indication that you need to talk to your spouse about it. No matter how much we try to downplay it, communication is the foundation of every strong relationship.

Do you know that you can sit and ask each other questions, just to know where your heads are at. You have to have that difficult conversation at some point, there’s no running from it.

So today, I am throwing this as a challenge to couples, friends, colleagues and families. Sit down and have an open conversation and please be as transparent as possible, avoid being judgemental. As 2024 is coming to an end, let’s start the new year with a refined mindset and a heart empty of grudges, grievances, and unmet expectations. Rekindle your spark as you step into 2025 and make this a routine going forward.
