Quiet Becoming 2 : When Life Doesn’t Go As Planned: Learning to Trust God Anyway.

There’s a kind of disappointment that doesn’t always have words.

The kind that comes when life doesn’t go the way you planned.

You had a timeline.

You had expectations.

You had a picture in your mind of how things were supposed to unfold.

But somehow… things look different.

Slower. Uncertain. Not quite what you imagined.

And quietly, you find yourself asking-

“God… why?”

The Struggle We Don’t Always Admit

We don’t talk enough about how hard it is to release control.

We say we trust God.

We pray.

We believe.

But deep down, we still want things to go our way.

Our timing. Our plans. Our expectations.

And when it doesn’t happen like that…

it can feel confusing. Even painful.

Because now, it’s not just about waiting…

it’s about letting go of how we thought life should be.

What If It’s Not Falling Apart?

What if things are not going wrong?

What if they’re simply… going differently?

Sometimes, what feels like a delay is actually protection.

Sometimes, what feels like a closed door is redirection.

Sometimes, what feels like confusion is God working behind the scenes.

We don’t always see the full picture.

But God does.

And His plans are not random.

They are intentional.

Scripture Anchor

Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to Him,

and He will make your paths straight.”

Learning to Release Control

Trusting God isn’t just about believing He can do it.

It’s about accepting that He may not do it the way you expected.

It’s saying:

Even when I don’t understand… I will trust You.

Even when it’s uncomfortable… I will trust You.

Even when it looks different… I will trust You.

Because real trust is not built in clarity-

it is built in surrender.

A Gentle Reminder

You are not behind.

And you are not forgotten.

Your life is not off track.

It may not look like what you planned, but that doesn’t mean it’s not exactly where it’s supposed to be.

God is still writing your story.

Still working in your life.

Still aligning things in ways you cannot yet see.

Maybe this season is not about control.

Maybe it’s about trust.

So instead of holding on tightly to your plans…

what if you released them?

What if you chose peace over pressure?

Faith over fear?

What if you trusted that God’s plan… is still good?

Reflection

Take a deep breath.

What is one thing you’ve been trying to control lately?

Now gently release it to God.

You don’t have to carry it alone 🤍

Final Whisper

This wasn’t your plan…

but you can still trust God’s plan.
